An open source project that focuses on themes that change the look and feel of the web version of ProtonMail. These have been maintained and updated for over 5 years.

Tools and custom scripts were put in place to allow any number of themes to be compiled from a single template as well as a dark mode version. Creation of new themes was streamlined by introducing a set of base colours which allows a theme to be created in a few minutes.

Additionally, I’ve also explored creating tools to generate themes with a user interface. Picking four colours would allow for CSS to be generated and applied to ProtonMail’s UI extending the project from having predefined themes to enabling users to create their own in seconds.
